EPISODE #11 - DR. KAREN RALLS - "Music and the Otherworld: New Dimensions" | OWGR Radio Show Hosts: Sandra D. Sabatini & Richard Smith

In this interview we will speak with Dr. Ralls about the history, folklore, experiences, and research regarding the power and effects of music, ranging from the shamans and fairy lore of old, through medieval legend and lore, to our own 21st century...where music, sound and vibration are - and always have - been with us.

Dr. Karen Ralls, Oxford-based author, medieval historian, cultural visionary and interfaith spirituality consultant, is widely recognized for her groundbreaking work. She obtained her PhD from the University of Edinburgh, followed by six years as Postdoctoral Fellow lecturer (Univ. of Edinburgh) and also as Deputy Curator for the Rosslyn Chapel Museum Brydon Exhibition (1996-2001), prior to founding her own major project in 2001, Ancient Quest, a cutting-edge historical and contemporary media outreach organization, in Oxford, England.

A lively and inspiring speaker, presenter and media consultant (History Channel, Discovery, indie, etc), Dr. Ralls is the author of The Knights Templar Encyclopedia, The Templars and the Grail, The Quest for the Celtic Key and Music and the Celtic Otherworld. She obtained her PhD from the University of Edinburgh, and was asked to remain on as Postdoctoral Fellow and lecturer for six years, before continuing at Oxford in 2001.
