Kesha L. Hayes, known for her passion in promoting positive outcomes regarding the geriatric population, has 10 plus years in the healthcare industry. She received her Bachelor’s of Science degree from Francis Marion University in Sociology, venturing on to receive two Masters from Webster University in Human Resources and Healthcare Administration. She is also a Licensed Practical Nurse receiving her diploma from Applied Technology Education Campus. She is a notary public and a. Her expertise is in clinical services, training and leadership management in Assisted Living communities in South Carolina and public speaking where she has won several gold medals in SC and overall second in the nation through Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA). Due to the struggle to hire and retain great staff for our elderly population, she opened her own nurse aide post-secondary school, Professional Development and Training Services, LLC which is governed by SC Department of Health and Human Services and licensed by SC Commission on Higher Education. The school was derived to teach students how to safely care for residents, but enhance professional and personal skills making them more stable in the workplace.  Kesha Hayes and Tameka Walker have initiated Senior Spotlight which is currently a TV show airing June 20, 2016 and it is also a segment that runs weekly in The Community Times newspaper that is seen in Kershaw, Fairfield and Sumter Counties. Senior Spotlight was derived to enlighten the community about issues that directly impact senior citizens. Senior Spotlight plans to eliminate the stereotypes and myths about seniors and bring to the forefront how we as a community can make their lives better.
