OTG & OTC: The Convention of States Project- Will It Make a Difference?

Every few decades, there has been a call for an Article V Convention, for the purpose of proposing amendments to the United States Constitution.    Once again, the call is being trumpeted.   The Article V Convention is now being phrased as The Convention of States Project.  This Convention of states is a convention called by the state legislatures for the purpose of proposing amendments to the Constitution.  Proponents want to call a convention for the purpose of limiting the power and jurisdiction of the federal government.  We certainly know that the federal government is recklessly overreaching its powers … and that it is being allowed to happen.

While the Convention of States sounds like a good idea, there are questions.  If the Federal Government ignores the current Constitution, why would they adhere to an amended Constitution?  Is a convention of the states safe from turning into a “runaway convention”?  Where is the funding coming from, and who is the parent organization for the COS project?
