In 2005, Funmi Odegbami established MiNK London; an award winning makeup school and agency after identifying a gap in the way makeup training was being delivered. She found that schools and makeup courses failed to adequately address the unique makeup requirements for people of colour. Similarly while working in the industry she established that many professional makeup artists did not know how to adjust their technique to work on darker skin tones. Fact! Most and models of colour still have to carry around their own foundation because makeup artists do not carry their colour.

MiNK London was setup to bridge this gap; and at MiNK the expert knowledge of makeup application techniques for ALL skin tones is intrinsic to all training courses.
