My name is Marty Embry and I absolutely love creating culinary treats for the palate and for my friends.  My cook books are in a series titled “From the Court to the Kitchen”, of which I am working on Volume 9, Restaurant 51.  This is a novice friendly book and a great teaching tool.

 

I attended DePaul University on a basketball scholarship where I routinely cooked large meals for my teammates.  I cooked for myself, but found that cooking for others brought a certain amount of internal joy.  I applied to Washburne Trade School of Culinary Arts in Chicago and was accepted, but opted to play professional basketball.  No regrets here!

I recently accepted the position as Executive Chef for the *** ********* **** ****** and  will soon open Café 51 and Restaurant 51, my flagship restaurant.  I continue to personal chef and truly enjoy it.  Many of my clients are professional athletes, entertainers, single females, single males and business people that simply want to be pamped
