"Exposure" Diabetes Awareness with Author/Parents Morgan & Jenn Locklear

NWP welcome Morgan & Jennifer Locklear, romance authors with a unique family story:

Their son was nearing the end of 8th grade. While on vacation, he seemed out of sorts.This young teen slept a lot, didn’t have energy or interest in suggested family activities and began feeling ill. Parents assumed he had contracted food poisoning and began treating it as such. At about three o’clock in the morning, this familys world changed forever.  Young Locklear woke up extremely ill and nothing the parents tried to do for him helped and they watched his condition deteriorate rapidly and by sunrise they knew he needed emergency medical attention. 

Type 1 Diabetes. Once the urgent need to stabilize his condition receded, the family spent a week at the hospital learning how to take care of their son under this new reality. The Locklear family is moving foward with life by showing their kids how to follow their dreams, by example.  With their debut romance novel "Exposure", this husband and wife team has a found a way to laugh and live with their heart!
