On Monday, May 18, 2015, we invite you to join us for a discussion with Joyce E. King, President of the American Educational Research Association.

Since 2004 Professor King has been on the faculty at Georgia State University, where she holds the Benjamin E. Mays Endowed Chair of Urban Teaching, Learning and Leadership. Her research interests include the role of cultural knowledge, curriculum change, and global education.

Professor King chaired the AERA Commission on Research in Black Education (CORIBE) and became editor of the resulting volume, Black Education: A Transformative Research and Action Agenda for the New Century, published in 2005 for AERA by Lawrence Erlbaum Associates. This volume examined the knowledge base, presented findings, and offered new directions for research and practice in Black education and across diverse communities.

Tune in and enjoy the worldly insights of Host, Dr. Eric Cooper meshed with the culturally-astute and melodious tone of co-host, Dr. Nicole McZeal Waters in an engaging "Open Mic" dialogue. We want to hear the voices of our emerging new leadership.....Voices of The Next Millennium. Education, Social Justice, Mass Incarcerations, Health Care, Voting Rights and Labor are topics to be explored.
