Former Illinois running back/fullback Carey Davis joins Joe Lisi on The Weekly Bitz. Davis played from 2000-2003 and caught 114 passes for 751 receiving yards with 5 touchdowns. He also rushed for 1,012 yards and 1 touchdown on the ground.

Davis was a tough hard nosed player that played the game with intensity and heart. Davis had a blue collar attitude that epitomized the Illini team. Davis played special teams and did the "dirty" work between the tackles. He was an outstanding blocker and utilized in the passing game because of his pass catching ability. Davis was an all-around back that was the ultimate team player. He played the game with great emotion and played every down with his best effort.

Davis became an undrafted free agent in 2004 and played in the NFL from 2004-2010 winning a Super Bowl with the Pittsburgh Steelers in their victory over the Arizona Cardinals in Tampa Bay.
