Anita Talks Genealogy covers the topic of Settlements of escaped slaves in Canada. The Underground Railroad was neither Underground nor a Railroad. There were many stops along the way for the former slaves, but many stayed on the road until it ended in Canada. One of the destinations in Canada was Bruxton, a Black Settlement in Nova Scotia. We follow the slaves on the Underground Railroad, and examine their lives in the newly formed settlements.
