Cat Mendez steps out solo....and stays with the band.

Cat Mendez is a boundary crossing, bravely experimental singer-songwriter from Anaheim California whose music ranges from punk rock in English to experimental jazz rock in Spanish to melodic American Latino Music, blues and metal and a lot more in between.  Former Mystery Hangup band member and current ¡Aparato! vocalist/guitarist, she has also released a solo album that makes maximum use of her sultry voice, honed from years of experience beginning with Las Chica de Anaheim with her sisters, the Mystery Hangup punk band (also with her sisters)  and fusing traditional Mexican musicwith rock in ¡Aparato!. And when she is not performing, she is helping others, serving on the Board of Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls in Anaheim and singing at women’s rights events like Vida la Muxer.
