Gloria Estrada is a musical treasure who has enriched the songs and albums of many stars and bands over the years as well as entertained audiences across the nation.  She is a multi-instrumental virtuoso, equally at home with an electric guitar, a guitarrón, a Vihuela , an accordion, a standup base, or an electric base.  She plays in rock bands, mariachi bands, duos, Latino bands, jazz bands. She is one of LA’s  premium  go-to players  for artists ranging from La Santa Cecelia to Marisa Ronstadt, for directors of films and TV shows.  

Estrada began playing the guitar at the age of 14, identifying with classic rock bands like Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin, and the Beatles. She  taught herself music through high school and then entered Pasadena City College for formal training in both classical and jazz music.  In 2004 she was awarded  first place in the PCC Jazz Competition and  later transferred the University of Southern California where she earned a B.A. in Music.  

Nominated for a Latin Grammy, Estrada is a multi-instrumentalist that plays: Guitar, Electric Bass, Upright Bass, Guitarrón, , and Accordion.  She has played and or recorded with Viento Callejero, Las Cafeteras, El Mariachi Manchester, Marisa Ronstadt, Carla Morrison, Mitre, Maria Del Pilar, La Santa Cecilia, Quetzal, Fernada Ulibarri,  David Garza, and Perrozompopo.  Music  that she composed and collaborated on can be heard on film and TV shows like Bruising for Besos, Weeds, Entourage, One Tree Hill, The Bridge, 2501 Migrants, and El Reloj. She also develops and plays in personal projects like Finger Dancers with guitarist Inez Wood and the cumbia trio Viento Callejero.

Estrada is currently on tour with Las Cafeteras, playing in venues and festivals from California to Boston but .
