Everyone comes to Detroit for ball games and concerts, but Len Gauger, founder and CEO of the Ann Arbor-based startup Message Blocks, imagines a city that's the center for all types of events. He pictures Detroit becoming known nationwide for hosting tech and professional conferences. With resources like Detroit's Cobo Hall, Gem Theatre, and many other venues throughout the metropolitan area, Len believes that the event planning industry can grow in Detroit. He's created Message Blocks, an event planning platform, to help make it happen. Originally from Dearborn, Len wanted to return to his home state to build the business. Message Blocks is an easy-to-use platform that streamlines documents, registration, and event information online. With over 1,100 registrants already in Michigan to-date, Message Blocks software has been used to plan major events across Michigan working with TedX Detroit, Accelerate Michigan, Habitat for Humanity, the American Federation of Teachers and the Mobile Technology Association of Michigan (MTAM).

Join Melissa Birnie and Len Gauger on Oct 30th at 1:00 P.M as they explore the event planning industry in Detroit and across Michigan in the Digital Age. Just in time for the Holidays!
