Detroit native Quintin Deon Harper, bka Q Harper, is the eleventh of twelve children born to William and Mary Harper. He inherited his love for music from his father and began performing at the age of five. Under the watchful eye of his father, he developed an uncanny facility with music, a language he prefers to what he calls "all lesser forms of communication".
Q has incredible abilities with the acoustic guitar, piano, and is a gifted songwriter. But it is his first of all instruments-his voice-that arrests the ear. His voice is beautifully even and technically flawless. He moves effortlessly between lower and upper vocal registers. The timbre in his voice is colored by deep feelings, full of sincerity, trfuth, and God-given emotional intelligence and sensual intuition.
