Can a single parents raise children without them ending up on drugs or in prison?

Ms CJ I am a single mother my son is 7 years old I make above average income I am able to take my son to school each day and pick him up. I go to all of the schools functions and all of his practices and games. My family and friends are presuring me to get married so my son can have a male influence in the household. I am hearing a lot of horror stories about what happens to children raised in single parent households. My sons father is not able to be in his life and I do not know if this will ever change. My question is can a single parent raise children without them ending up on drugs or in prison?
