Smack Mellon Gallery presents RESPOND, affirming that Black Lives Matter

Interview with Executive Direction and Chief Curator of the Smack Mellon Gallery, Kathleen Gilrain. The Smack Mellon Gallery created the exhibition RESPOND after the grand jury's decision not to indict Daniel Pantaleo. The gallery is currently using the space to present events, performances and artworks that affirm that black lives matter, express frustration and anger with the institutional racism that enables law enforcement to kill black me ever of the community with impunity, and imagine creative solutions and visionary alternatives to a broken Justice system.
