Shonda English has been noted as being a breath of fresh air to the gospel music industry. Not only is she gifted with phenomenal vocal capabilities; she is also a prolific songwriter, gifted musician, meticulous director, and a superbly skilled producer. She composes all original material and arranges the music and does most of her background vocals herself. Her lyrics are prolific to say the least. Having spent years on a Hammond B3 organ in her father's church in Sumter, SC, Shonda's dynamic gifts and talents enable her to compose both, traditional music for the conservative church community and an upbeat, urban-style gospel for the youth.
