 The Makenzie Award  and The Talkin’ It Up “Best in Me Award” Winner's. The Gospel Originals, formally “The Staley Brothers” in 1972 and renamed the organization in 1993. The group consists of five (5) members: Calvin, Brian, Douglas, Bernard, Clarence, and the band. The group has been known to travel throughout the United States to spread the gospel. God has truly kept their longevity.

Outside of the singing ministry The Gospel Originals have a clothing and food ministry, a toy drive during Christmas, supports the homeless, and a battered woman shelter. They have been singing for a long time with Jesus Christ standing with them and the ministry shall continue on. 
 
Through dreams/vision, life experiences, and reading the word of God, The Gospel Originals have produced Seven (7) Cd's and two (2) live DVDs. God has called them to a ministry which has enabled the lives of many to be changed and burdens lifted. Their dedication and humbleness to God has led them to many blessings in life.s to 

The Gospel Originals will be celebrating their 21st Anniversary, Sunday, January 20, 2013, at 5:00 pm in Aiken, South Carolina at Saint Angela Hall; 118 York St. God has blessed us tremendously to spread the Gospel.
