Pulitzer Prize-winning author and journalist David Cay Johnston joins Modern Whig Radio to discuss tax policy, tax reform, income inequality and the widening wealth gap. He is a Distinguished Visiting Lecturer at Syracuse University College of Law and the Whitman School of Management, and the board president of Investigative Reporters and Editors. Johnston was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Beat Reporting in 2001 for his investigative journalism for his work on tax loopholes and "inequites in the U.S. tax code." He's the bestselling author of Temples of Chance, Free Lunch, Perfectly Legal and The Fine Print. His latest book is Divided: The Perils of Our Growing Inequality, published in 2014. Johnston's long career includes stints at the San Jose Mercury News, the Detroit Free Press, the Los Angeles Times, the Philadelphia Inquirer, the New York Times and Reuters.
