David L. Heiber, Executive Director and Founder David L. Heiber is the Executive Director and Founder of Concentric Educational Solutions Inc., a Washington, D.C. based non-profit organization that supports schools with implementation of student services. Since 2010, David has led Concentric to being recognized as an innovator with placing students at the center of the educational experience. Using Concentricity as his theory of change, David has collaborated and consulted with over a hundred schools in 20 states.

David’s passion is working with young people in general, but specifically with African American and Latino males. David uses his personal story of grief, poverty, incarceration, and redemption as a means to connect with students and challenge them to recognize their potential, honor their promise, and fulfill their purpose. He is currently working on his memoir, From Prisoner to Principal: Only God Can Judge Me and has been sharing his story in schools and universities throughout the United States.

Previously, David served for 3 years as the Senior Director of Student Support Services for a Charter Management Organization (CMO) consisting of four secondary schools serving 1,400 students in Washington, D.C. In this capacity, David was directly responsible for all aspects of student culture, special education, and mental health services, and found tremendous success.

Born in Wilmington, Delaware, David graduated from Lincoln University in Pennsylvania with a triple major. He went on to receive his M.A. from Temple University in African American studies and his Ed.D from Morgan State University in Urban Education. He has three children
who are the purpose in his life.
