Kimberly A. Worthy is an educator, author, lecturer and workshop facilitator, and currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Howard University Middle School of Mathematics & Science in Washington, D.C. (Howard), where she has taught Social Studies and English Language Arts.  
In 2011 and 2012, she spent a total of four months as a “Teach With Africa” Teacher Training Fellow and was a member of the Leadership Team in the LEAP Science and Math Schools in Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa. Also during 2011 and 2012, Kimberly served as the Curriculum Specialist for both the Mobile Learning Institute with the Pearson Foundation and the Smithsonian Institute and the Smithsonian’s African Art, COSMOS Advisory Committee.
 
A native of the District of Columbia, Kimberly is a graduate of Spelman College and is a member of the National Alliance of Black School Educators, Pi Lambda Theta International Honor Society & Professional Association in Education, and National Network of State Teachers of the Year.
