To celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendmant that finally allowed women voting rights, a trio of women statues was unveiled at New York City's Central Park on August 26, 2020. Up until this day, there were no statures of real women, just a few of those imagined. Scullor Meredith Bergmann, created a trio of "herstoric" figures: Soujorner Truth, Cady Stanton, and Susan B. Anthony posed at a table in converstation.
What goes into sculting bronze statues? How does it begin, and what tools are used? The statues, located on Literary Walk, have some hidden meanings when you look closely. But, it is really up to the viewer to decide what is taking place.
