Celebrating 10 Years of Women's Voices

In anticipation of concerts by Melodia Women's Choir on Nov 17 and Nov 18, 2012 in New York City, this special program shares the secrets of composing beautiful new works for women's voices.

The concert features the world premiere performance of "Questions About Angels" by Sally Lamb McCune, a work commissioned for this anniverary celebration. The composer joins Melodia's artistic director and conductor Cynthia Powell and executive director and singer Jennifer Clarke to describe the artistic process and power in performing new works. 

Concert selections also feature Allison Sniffin's Punch! music arranged by Anonymous 4 and by Mediaeval Baebes! An event not to be missed!

Also joining the talented 26-member choir will be world renown marimba player Haruka Fujii, Barbara Merjan on percussion, Eleanore Oppenheim on bass, Wendy Powers on recorder,  and Taisiya Pushkar on piano.
