Tucker Carlson

"I'm excited about it, I live here, I want my kids to see it...On the other hand, in the end he's a politician taking a political office, 52% of the public voted for him, 48% didn't vote for him, so let's not pretend this is the second coming of Jesus."

That was former CNN and MSNBC anchor Tucker Carlson on the mediabistro.com Morning Media Menu podcast on January 19 — Inauguration Eve.

We'll talk with Carlson again this morning, and get his thoughts on the first 75 days of the Obama administration, the President's recent Europe trip and more. If last time was any indication, he'll have a lot to say.

We talked about the bailouts, which Carlson said he's been against since the Bush administration. "I don't think anybody has a right to a federally subsidized job," he said. "I certainly didn't. I bounced around over the past 20 years in journalism and the taxpayers have never stepped in to save my job."
