Personal journey update: Six years ago Pat was asked to continue the treaty work of her father, Greg Zephier, Sr. "The first thing my dad taught me was that every treaty (from our POV) are prayers, because there is a Canupa made for each treaty.

Earlier this year Pat was asked to participate in two events this spring and summer.

1. "We are pleased to enclose a formal invitation to participate in the Peace and Dignity Journeys Intercontinental Meeting which will take place in preparation for the 2016 Peace and Dignity Journeys.

The event will be held from May 25 to May 31, 2014, at Mayaquez, Puerto Rico to serve as a meeting place for representatives, coordinators and runners from North America, South America, Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean."

2. I am also the South Dakota State Coordinator for Dennis Banks' (Motorcycle) Ride across America To Reverse Diabetes.

Both of these events begin with prayer. For Peace and Dignity Journey 2016, one of our responsibilities is to choose the prayer for the 6-7 month Journey, and for The Ride to Reverse Diabetes is a prayer for our health."
