What is wisdom?

I will discuss how to have a good conversation as a global citizen. 

I will discuss the idea of a "global village." 

I will talk about the inherent tension between the village, also called "the tribe", and everything outside of the tribe, called "the other", or "them". 

I will talk about attempts in the West to understand people outside of a limited envrionment. 

I will discuss the shift from a religious, traditional, village-based community to a secular, individualistic, global community.
