What is wisdom?

At seven years old, Alison led her younger sister’s preschool classroom. Later, she volunteered and became certified to teach at that same preschool. The preschool program placed all children aged two through six in one classroom and allowed them to learn from one another.  This gave the older children an opportunity to grow as leaders and teachers.

In college Alison sat as secretary and later president of the committee for her major, and spent several semesters working in different capacities as a peer mentor or classroom assistant.  Later she interspersed her internships with opportunities for her to spend time working in the classroom.  She wants to make a difference of some sort, to make changes to education on a broader scale, encompassing family economics, health, and safety all in relation to education.  She is looking to do more through a social entrepreneurial lens.
