Our Education vs. the Education the Founders felt necessary

Modern education has led us to believe the government is our friend, here to help us. How we teach and learn compared to how our founders meant for it in order for the Constitution to succeed is worthy of reflection and study. We will look at how Constitutional Law, history, and religion are taught. A question to ponder; is the federal government better at determining our childrens' educational needs or are we, locally?
