Milliner Jane Ryder joins this week's 'Aged to Perfection'

Join co-hosts Mark McNease and Rick Rose as we welcome milliner Jane Ryder to this week's podcast. In addition to being a longtime LGBT ally, Jane is hat and fashion designer, originally from England, but now living and working in Shreveport.  Jane Ryder Designs started eleven years ago.  Two years ago, Jane embarked on a new adventure – Jane Ryder Millinery – a new line of bespoke hats and fascinators.  Fascinators especially, have grown in popularity largely due to the new Duchess of Cambridge – Kate Middleton.

 

As well as her own business, Jane works in the local film industry, and has done so for the past seven years, recently working on the new Gerard Butler film - "Olympus Has Fallen".  Jane created the dress worn at the Oscars by Shannon Oldenburg, wife of Oscar winner Brandon Oldenburg of Moonbot Studios.  She has also had her fascinators featured in the April 2012 UK Vogue, and the May 2012 Tatler UK.  She is the mother of two sons, and one daughter.
