This week on #LFCRadio we will talk about the Consequences of Hazing. FAMU is in the midst of a tragedy for the family of Robert Champion, The Marching 100 Band and Kappa Kappa Psi Fraternity. But beyond the issues that they are dealing with in Tallahassee, it has a ripple effect throughout the world of Black social organizations.
 
Hazing is one of the realities, whether completely real or slightly embellished, that is a big part of the history of black college life. Whether it be some of the obvious physical pledging techniques like “taking wood” and “branding”,  or some of the other techniques that may be unique and ritualistic to each individual organization, there are many forms of voluntary abuse that has been compared to injustices suffered by our ancestors during slavery.
