From Phoenix, Arizona, Scott began his career by making lo-fi recordings with a cassette tape recorder, writing short stories, and poetry for fun when he was a kid. He taught himself to play the bass guitar and joined an alternative rock band with some coworkers. Later he played keyboards for a female led rock band. After continued frustration and stagnation, he left the band scene and spent several uneventful years reevaluating his artistic life.

Scott worked with the Phoenix Comicon Film Festival staff as an emcee and presenter from 2006 until 2009. During that time, he accepted the challenge of composing music for the short film "Slayer Wars" from Dreamstalker Films and continued composing subsequent short film scores.

In the summer of 2012, he interned for the Cazador Radio Network but left at the end of the year to write his own film submission to the Phoenix Comicon Film Festival where Scott's first film "What A Day!" premiered with positive reactions. Later in 2013, he was brought back to the Cazador Radio Network as a segment producer for the internet Star Wars themed radio show "From The Bacta Tank".
