Baltimore is burning but my mind is more with the Supremes in DC. I've but a lot of emotion and thought into marriage equality over the past 11 years. Now here we are two months away from a likely quasi-resolution.
I do expect a Loving v. Virginia-style decision in June. It's likely 5-4 ir 6-3 in favor of same-sex marriage, replete with long-fingered majority and dissenting CYA decisions.
I'll kick around the fallout, particularly how the plug nasties who want to harm, hinder and hurt homosexuals will take it. As we still see in the 42 years since women's right to choose was allegedly settled with Roe v. Wade, some will not accept changes or that their emotions are in the minority. Yes, yes, they are likely to keep it so long as they breath.
