Elizabeth Plourde, NCMP, Ph.D. - Sunscreens Biohazard

Elizabeth Plourde, a licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist, with a Ph.D. in Psychology, has devoted the last 20 years to researching, writing, and educating women about achieving health through understanding their hormones and attaining hormonal balance.

Dr. Plourde’s training in the fields of both medicine and psychology is augmented by invaluable experience gained while working with cutting-edge medical research laboratories for over a decade, leading the path for her certification as a North American Menopause Society (NAMS) menopause practitioner (NCMP).

As a professor, she has taught at San DiegoUniversityfor Integrative Studies, and ConcordiaUniversity.

An Irvine, Californiaresident for 30 years, Dr. Plourde has lectured and taught throughout the United Statesas well as Internationally.  Her expertise in the field of women’s health has resulted in appearances on ABC's 20/20, Berman & Berman: For Women Only, Good Morning America, The Gary Null Show, and numerous network news programs and radio shows across the country.

Her most recent book covers the biochemistry as to why the chemicals used in sunscreens not only promote the development of skin cancers, they also interfere with fetal development, which could be behind the increase in obesity and autism that are being seen in children; as well as the infertility, male reproductive disorders and testicular cancers that are increasing in many countries.  In addition, they need to be removed from the environment because they are killing the coral reefs and plankton in the oceans.
