Janet Jackson - author of A Cry for Light: A Journey into Lo

Janet Alston Jackson, is the author of "A Cry for Light: A Journey into Love," winner of the National USA Book News Award for Christian Inspiration.  She is a contributing writer for the Los Angeles Sentinel Newspaper, and a columnist for two International Publications in India and Canada.

Janet is a personal growth expert and behavioral consultant for her company Sporting the Right Attitude, subsidiary of Self Awareness Trainings, LLC, she owns with her husband, Walter Jackson, author of the USA Book News finalist, “Sporting the Right Attitude: Lessons Learned in a Troubled Family.  Together they have facilitated workshops Self Growth workshops including how to Find Inner peace to thousands including corporate executives, parents, teachers, women in recovery, law enforcement, health care workers, and entertainment industry executives. 

 For 20 years Janet was a publicist for CBS and ABC Television Networks publicizing A-List celebrities. She was also a manager and the West Coast photoeditor for ABC Televisionin in charge of the network's image. She has worked on hundreds of prime time episodes, and Janet  headed the West Coast publicity for the daytime CBS shows.

Janet was awarded the national Publicist Guild of America award for the popular television show, and classic, "Twin Peaks."
