To this day, Jack the Ripper has been the subject matter for myriads of books, films and television movies.  Our fascination with one of the most notorious serial killers of our time keeps us wanting to know more about him. Exactly, who was Jack the Ripper?  Now, we might know more.

Enter Jeff Mudgett, the great, great grandson of Herman Webster Mudgett (May 16, 1861-May 8, 1896) better known under the alias of Dr. Henry Howard Holmes (H.H. Holmes) - the first documented American serial killer. Mudgett's book, Bloodstains delves deep into the psyche of H.H. Holmes and his heinous crimes, while providing evidence to further the belief that Holmes and Jack the Ripper were one in the same.

We will be talking to Jeff Mudgett and the years he has spent researching and writing about his family's secret. Even after 120 years, Jack the Ripper is still as famous as he was when he started his killing spree. There are current television tie-ins with BBC's Ripper Street, and a new movie coming called The Devil in the White City, about Holmes in America, starring Leonardo DiCaprio.
