Lane County Commissioners earn $140,000 a year in pay and benefits. Dawn Lesley, Joe Berney and Heather Buch all voted to give them a raise. I will go over just how we are well compensated and how ridiculous and self-serving it is to think we need more. We will also talk about arbitrage and how our Board is considering gambling with taxpayer’s money. We can also talk about elected versus appointed Boards overseeing tax money and also mixing the missions of federal agencies and using Medicaid money for housing.
