When we fall in love we have stars in our eyes, and it is easy to remain focused on Christ and His role in your relationship. When the relationship becomes a triad of God, Marriage, and Illness, it is easy to become focused on yourself, to the exclusion of God and your Christ-based marriage. Unfortunately, this can lead to significant damage to the relationship, to your sense of self, and it is often irrepairable.
