Definition of a Hero: "A hero deliberately & courageously overcomes obstacles for the benefit of others without regard to personal consequences. Conquered obstacles are the only qualifying credentials of heroes and a measure of one's true leadership."

Only a handful of people readily comes to mind as it pertains to Federally elected politicians in America today. Most, on both sides, are beholden Big Money Interest Groups and have forgotten their roots and what it is all about...representing "We The People!" Reps. Elijah Cummimgs, Bernie Sanders, Alan Greyson, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Vice President Joe Biden, First Lady Michelle Obama and President Barack Obama are some I can think of quickly.

Where are the Republicans?
Long gone are the days of Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Ike Eisenhower, Nelson Rockerfeller and George Romney. They were stand out human beings that believed in themselves and inspired others to be better people. Hence, collectively we become better.

Why Do We Need Heroes?
Like it or not, we need people who inspire us as role models. Many of today's heroes are sports figures, movie/tv personalities and rock stars/rappers whose lives are filled with controversy as well as frequent appearances before a judge in our already over-crowded court rooms. American Justice has turned into a cruel joke. The Media plays a critical role in the direction of any culture and influences its values system. They've failed miserably! Where's today's Walter Kronkite?

In your honest opinions, who and where are our heroes in today's America?
