Upon graduating from High School he attended college at SUNY Brockport– where he participated in the honors program, was a resident assistant, directed the student run Legal Information Service, was an on-campus representative, and served as student body president. While in college, he also interned in Albany with the NYS Education Department and participated in the Washington Semester Program in the Capitol Hill office of Congressman Charles B. Rangel.
