IT'S WISDOM WEDNESDAY with LYN TWYMAN is the Deputy Director of the National Domestic Violence Registry who is a socially conscious American activist with a pride and appreciation for her multicultural heritage. She is unapologetic in her quest to help victims of abuse and victims of societal injustices at large. Lyn believes in vocalizing the issues that many fear to cover.

Lyn is a survivor of child abuse and intimate partner violence. As a bi-racial daughter of an African American and Asian immigrant, generational abuse and culture were prevailing factors that contributed to the psychological abuse she experienced growing up.

Determined to be a voice for survivors of family violence, Lyn founded CourageNetwork.com. With a motto of Building Courage By Working Together, Lyn combined online resources into a comprehensive website. Today Courage Network has become a progressive online community that furthers awareness and prevention of violence in the home. Lyn features interviews on Courage Network with survivors, authors, advocates and leaders in the movement to assist victims of domestic violence. Past featured guests have included Judge Lynn Toler, Tony Porter, Victor Rivers, and Love Is Respect.
