In 1988, Billy had his first hit record, co-written with David Bellamy called “I’ll Give You All My Love Tonight”.

Billy had his first pop hit by the band Poco.
The song “Call It Love” went to #2 on the Billboard AC charts, #2 on the Billboard AOR chart, and #15 on the Hot 100

Billy also had a top 40 hit on Restless Heart titled, “Baby Needs New Shoes”.

He co-wrote “Let’er Rip” that ended up being recorded by the Dixie Chicks on their debut album, eventually going on to sell 13 million units.

He also co-wrote the Martina McBride hit “It’s My Time” and received a BMI award.

In 2010 Billy fulfilled a lifelong dream and released his first solo record called “Skeletons In The Closet”.
