To Quote Jesse: I am the author of a memoir published by Penguin Group (USA) in April 2010 called, "Atypical: Life with Asperger's in 20 1/3 Chapters." And yes, I do have Asperger's syndrome, which is the mildest and most misunderstood form of autism. I have learned one very important lesson throughout my journey. Sometimes the greatest disabler has nothing to do with the innate challenges that come from this condition and other conditions not immediately visible on the surface. An unnecessary amount of heartache comes from the doomed first impressions, constant misunderstandings, lack of compassion and chances.

"Atypical" is a collection of essays ranging from my adventure working in a funeral home in 2009 to the day in my childhood when I accidentally flooded my family's garage with cat excrement! These days I am very active in the anti-bullying movement and am trying to create a class in the New York State public school curriculum that is similar to Health, but focuses on the deadly consequences of bullying and developing empathy for misunderstood conditions.
