Comparing Green Rating Systems - Energy Star Danny Orlando

Danny Orlando, the EPA Region 4 ENERGY STAR Program Manager, will discuss the ENERGY STAR New Homes (version 3 specification) that begins phasing in next year. Danny has been working on ENERGY STAR since its inception in 1994 and earlier. As time allows, Danny will also touch on Home Performance with ENERGY STAR and will answer question concerning multi-family construction. Danny has been awarded the "Hammer Award" from Al Gore.
Danny took part in a team that worked to turn the Sam Nunn Atalanta Federal Center (the ninth largest Federal Building in the U.S.) into an ENERGY STAR building. Danny's ranch house was featured in Kilowatt Ours as an ENERGY STAR building, which has achieved a 32% energy reduction.
