As co-anchor of Good Morning Charleston and Lowcountry Live, Laura gets up bright and early to bring Lowcountry viewers the news that matters most. She's honored to be one of the first people you see when you wake up and she takes great pride in delivering the news accurately, timely, and with a little humor at times!

Laura comes to WCIV from WNEG-TV in Athens, Georgia, where she covered everything from the state's Legislative Session to the Atlanta Falcons. Laura also spent her early television career at CNN sports.

A Summa Cum Laude graduate of Georgia Southern University, Laura played Division I collegiate soccer for all four years of school.

But what happens when the cameras turn off?

An active member of the Charleston community, Laura was recently awarded the Bethune-Leonard Section of NCNW, Inc. innovators 35 and under in the Charleston area.  Laura is also on the Board of Directors and secretary on the executive board for the Cannon Street YMCA and often volunteers with her sorority sisters of the Gamma Xi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. She also speaks at various non-profit functions.

If she’s not working on her golf game at one of our beautiful golf courses, enjoying lunch on Shem Creek, taking a stroll down King Street for a little shopping or watching her favorite sports teams.

Laura says some of her most memorable moments in the Lowcountry thus far include interviewing Good Morning America's Robin Roberts, completing the Cooper River Bridge Run, and being featured in Charleston's ownNative Magazine.

Laura is originally from Jonesboro, Georgia, where her family still lives.
