POET & SELF AWARENESS TEACHER FAY HART

‘Slow coach for people in the fast lane.’

For twenty years Fay worked in the music industry, corralling unruly rock stars and tricky session musicians in varied roles as Press Officer, Studio Manager, Personal Assistant, Union Rep and even a stint as Tour Nurse, for which her only qualifications were a bottle of gin, a tin of aspirins and a packet of Flintstone band-aids.

In the late '90s Fay read Psychology at the University of Surrey, Roehampton and turned her attention from musicians to unruly teenagers as Psychology Tutor and Student Counsellor at Mander Portman Woodward, one of London's most prestigious sixth-form colleges.

During her studies and while exploring an extensive postgraduate training in Jungian Psychoanalysis, Fay discovered Life Coaching.  She hired a coach to help her find a way to balance a career and raising children while continuing her studies.  It was from that experience Fay switched track and began exploring training options in the coaching field.  Though Carl Gustav Jung remains her favourite intellectual pin-up, coaching is more in line with who she is. She went on to study and become certified as a Life Coach.

More recently she has moved into the area of energetic healing, which Fay integrates with her preferred counselling and coaching models, pioneering the Slow Coach Movement.  She’s studied with Lucia Rene, author of Unplugging the Patriarchy, sat with compassionate spiritual teachers and healers, Bhante Wimala, Mada Dalian and Panache Desai.

Fay divides her time between Florida and Mexico where she writes, offers workshops and inspires others by her courageous example of living as a free spirit.
