Eight: Cheese & Quackers

It's been a long and winding road for the Jewelcast through the Pacific division in our summer preview series, but we've finally reached our final destination: the Anaheim Ducks. The Ducks were a remarkably lucky team last season, riding an insanely high team shooting percentage to 116 points and a first place finish in the Pacific, despite their pedestrian 50.2% Fenwick Close percentage only being good for 15th in the league (and well behind LA & SJ). In the playoffs they managed to get past a tough Dallas team in the first round and even take a 3-2 lead on the Kings in the 2nd before bowing out rather meekly in a one-sided game 7. The offseason saw several changes to the Ducks that can only be classified as improvements, but is Ryan Kesler enough to take the Ducks to their third straight division title, or is it finally time for these birds to come back down to earth?
