Biographer David Fiske joins Jane this evening to talk about his co-authored book Solomon Northup: The Complete Story of the Author of Twelve Years a Slave. David wrote this biography of Twelves Years A Slave author Solomon Northup, whose own memoir recently came out as a movie. David talks about Solomon's life in upstate New York before and after the travesty of his enslavement.

The Old Fort House in Fort Edward, N.Y., where Solomon lived before moving to Saratoga Springs. The Fort House still exists and is part of a museum complex in Fort Edward, on the Hudson River in Washington County.
