Juveniles charged with crimes face common struggles once they enter the criminal justice system.  Several states are adjusting sentencing guidelines for youth offenders.  How will the recent SCOTUS Montgomery vs. Louisiana ruling that mandatory life sentences without parole should not apply to juveniles affect the response to juvenile crime?

What happens to teens after they enter the jailhouse?  How are their lives affected and what changes are taking place that make their transitions to productive citizens even harder?

Zoe Badovinac, a native of Britian and resident of Maryland, is a researcher and advocate for juvenile justice hosting the a podcast dedicated to children, youth and criminal justice.  Zoe is a child and adolescent development specialist, former music therapist, mobile therapist, child psychiatry researcher, and court-appointed special advocate/guardian ad litem.

Call in Monday, December 19th at 7pm EST at 515-602-9769.
