Lori Joan Swick holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy and Religion with a concentration in Women's Spirituality from California Institute of Integral Studies.  

She has earned a Master's Degree in Theology from the University of Notre Dame with distinctive honors and a Bachelor's Degree in Religion and Writing from St. Edward's University with valedictory honors.

She is author of two books; Comfort and Mirth and Dreaming ~ The Sacred Art.  Aside from writing and instructing retreats and  seminars, she is  an adjunct professor in Religion and Mythology at St. Edward's  University in Austin.   She is also a published  poet and an award-winning essayist.
