Prior to her position at the museum, she was the Director of Marketing and Communications for the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

In 2006, she was among those honored by the Volusia/Flagler Business Report with a Young Leader of the Year award. Currently, she serves on the Executive Board of Directors for the DeLand Area Chamber of Commerce as well as the Ivy Hawn Charter School for the Arts.
