Join Alice Lynch, Sumayya Coleman, and Tonya Lovelace-Davis as they welcome Gabby Santos of In Our Own Voices to discuss the largest mass killing in U.S history, the tragic attack upon LGBTQ nightclub Pulse in Orlando in the early hours of June 12, 2016. Focus of discussion will be upon the targeting of the LGBTQ community during Pride Month, the intersections of race, class, gender identity and sexual orientation with the largely Latinx and people of color victims of the attack, and the overlap of domestic violence and terrorism within this case. In addition, the conversation will include information about the upcoming WOCN, Inc. Blue Lips Campaign 2016, what it is, how it relates to this subject matter, and how listeners can help and respond.
